Russ Kendall didn’t find storytelling in a classroom. He found it in a moment of personal chaos, huddled next to a college radio in Las Vegas, letting a Welsh punk band pull him back from the edge of adolescent despair. That origin story never really left him. Across more than two decades and 35 countries, he has built a body of work rooted in a single quiet conviction: that the right story, told with honesty and craft, can do something medicine can’t. Through Kaleidoscope Pictures, the company he co-founded in Provo, Utah, Kendall has proven that principle-centered filmmaking doesn’t have to mean small or safe, treating every frame as a chance to remind an audience that their lives, like his, are worth something.
Adam Thomas Anderegg

Adam Thomas Anderegg came up the old-fashioned way, cutting his teeth as an assistant editor at CBS on Touched by an Angel before co-founding Kaleidoscope Pictures with a belief that film could do more than entertain. Over two decades and more than 100 projects, he has built a reputation as a director who doesn’t just put stories on screen but genuinely inhabits them, drawn consistently to the places where history, music, and the human will to survive converge. A BFA graduate from Brigham Young University, Anderegg brings both formal discipline and genuine warmth to his work, whether he’s directing a WWII drama filmed on location in Lithuania or shepherding a Sundance indie comedy about alien abduction. What runs through all of it is a quiet insistence that even the lightest story deserves to be told with craft, and that audiences, wherever they find his work, deserve to feel something real.
Micah Merrill

Micah Merrill is the kind of producer who never needed a single genre to define him, because his real interest was always in the space where a well-told story changes the way someone thinks about themselves. A BYU film graduate and co-founder of Kaleidoscope Pictures, Merrill built his career on a conviction that good filmmaking and principled living aren’t competing ideas. His work spans features, television, comedy, documentary, and an award-winning long-term partnership with FranklinCovey that brought leadership principles to life on screen for organizations across more than 160 countries. Whether producing a Sundance comedy or a film rooted in WWII resistance, he approaches each project the same way: with the patient belief that a body of work matters more than any single title, and that showing up consistently, finishing what you start, and trusting the audience to meet you halfway is what separates a filmmaker from someone who just makes films.
John Foss
Producer | Director | Head of Development
John Foss is a filmmaker and creative partner at Kaleidoscope Pictures, where he develops and produces feature films, series, and branded content. Drawing on an MFA in Film from Columbia University and a career that has taken projects to Sundance, Cannes, and Tribeca, with wide releases through Netflix, Universal, and Prime, John brings deep experience across all phases of production. His commercial and branded work has earned Gold ADDYs, Telly, CINE, and Cannes awards, and has been featured in Times Square and on prominent national platforms. As a voting member of both the Producers Guild of America and The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, John is drawn to visually beautiful, character-driven stories, and is dedicated to crafting work that is familial, grounded, and redemptive.
